The Modi government has banned 20 YouTube channels and two websites for spreading anti India propaganda and fake news. In the press release issued by the government, it has been said that these channels were operating from Pakistan. They were spreading fake news on sensitive issues of India. Like Kashmir, Indian Army, CDS Bipin Rawat, Minority communities in India, Ram Mandir. These channels had lakhs of subscribers and crores of views.
Modi government has banned 20 YouTube channels
It has been told that some YouTube channels of New Pakistan Group (NPG) were being operated by anchors of Pakistani news channels. These YouTube channels also posted content on issues like farmers’ agitation, protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and tried to incite minorities against the Indian government.
